Lace up and have a magical saturday with fun, laughter, and running at our Breakfast Run in Tivoli. Everyone are welcome – regardless of your age or shoe size.

Normally, Tivoli is filled with happy people enjoying themselves, laughing, and strolling between the many attractions.

But once a year, the amusement park opens its gates to runners, giving you the chance to experience its magic with a race bib on your chest.

On May 10th at 9:45 AM, we’re hosting the Breakfast Run in Tivoli – a wonderful race for both children and adults. It’s not about finishing first; it’s about running and enjoying the beauty of the amusement park in the peaceful morning hours before it opens to the public.

And when you’ve crossed the finish line, we’ll be ready with some delicious food and drinks to round off the experience.

Run for a Good Cause
The Breakfast Run in Tivoli follows an 800-meter route, winding through the park so you get to see a lot of the wonders of Tivoli along the way. The race lasts 30 minutes, and during that time, you can complete as many laps around the course as you wish.

And we hope you’ll run a lot. That’s because for every lap you complete, we’ll donate 10 DKK to SMILfonden, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with serious and chronic illnesses.

Spend the entire day in Tivoli
Your race bib also grants you free admission to Tivoli. Once you’ve finished running you can enjoy the day with friends and family. However, until Tivoli opens to the public at 11:00 AM, access is limited to the start and finish area. The beautiful Rasmus Klump Playground will be open during this time.

  • Arrival:
    You and any accompanying guests must arrive together at Tivoli between 9:00 and 9:30 AM. Make sure to arrive in good time so you have enough time to get ready.

    Address:
    The entrance to the start area is through H.C. Andersen Castle on H.C. Andersens Boulevard.

    Race Start:
    The race starts at 9:45 AM.

  • Race Bib Pickup
    You will collect your race bib on the day of the event in the start and finish area. There may be queues, so please arrive early to allow enough time to pick up your bib and attach it to your clothing.

    Your race bib must be visible on your clothing while running.

    Timing Chip Instructions:
    Your race bib contains a timing chip, so please avoid bending it.

    When crossing the start and finish line, make sure not to cover your race bib with your arm (e.g., when starting or stopping a sports watch), as this may prevent the chip from registering your time.

  • You and any accompanying guests must arrive together between 9:00 – 9:30 AM. The entrance is through H.C. Andersen Castle, where the race starts and finishes.

    To enter, you must bring your ticket, which you will receive via email closer to the event date.

    Before the race, we will also send you a link where you can purchase your Ride Pass or Ride Pass Plus at a discount for yourself and your guests.

  • It is important to respect the barriers in Tivoli. This applies to both the barriers along the course as well as those in the start and finish area.

    At 11:00 AM, Tivoli will open its gates to all visitors, and the barriers will be removed. Until then, we must remain within the designated areas. However, you are welcome to use the beautiful Rasmus Klump Playground while you wait.

    This also applies during the race warm-up, where space is limited.

  • The route runs through Tivoli, with the start and finish located at H.C. Andersen Castle inside the park.

  • Unfortunately, it is not possible to change clothes in Tivoli, so please arrive already dressed for the run.

  • In connection with the run, we’ll be ready with water, coffee, and a croissant, so you can recharge after your run around Tivoli.

  • There are stairs along the route and at the entrance to and from the start and finish area.

    Until Tivoli opens to the public at 11:00 AM, access is limited to the start and finish area. However, the Rasmus Klump Playground will be open.

    Remember to get a stamp at the Food Hall exit (after 11:00 AM) if you wish to re-enter Tivoli throughout the day.
