Athletes, who meet the qualifying requirements, are eligible to apply for an elite entry at the Copenhagen Marathon.
Qualification standards
For times set over the marathon distance
Men: 2 hours : 32 minutes
Women: 2 hours : 55 minutes
For times set over the half marathon distance
Men:1 hour : 12 minutes
Women: 1 hour : 23 minutes

Additional requirements
Qualification times must be set between 1/1-2021 and 10/9-2023 at an official competition certified by a national athletics federation and/or AIMS.
Furthermore, the course must be correctly measured and approved by the national athletics federation and/or AIMS. Documentation for qualifying times will be required.

Prize money
The full prize money breakdown and bonuses for the Copenhagen Marathon will be announced soon.
Prize money is taxed at a rate of 15%.

Doping disclaimer
Any athlete who is subsequently determined to have committed a doping offence at the time of the event or is suspended from competition due to an offence committed prior to the event resulting in his/her performance at the event being invalidated shall be liable to refund any and all sums from the race organisers relating to his/her performance at the event.

Elite athletes will enjoy special amenities and services before, during and after the race. Detailed information will be sent out to all elite athletes and/or managers prior to the race.
