Athletes, who meet the qualifying requirements, are eligible to apply for an elite entry at the Copenhagen Marathon.

Notice! The qualification standards and prizes money below may be updated ahead of the 2023 event.

Qualification standards

Men: 2 hours : 32 minutes : 00 seconds
Women: 2hours : 55 minutes : 00 seconds

Other requirements

  • Only races, which are officially certified by the national athletics federation and/or AIMS, will be accepted for qualifying.
  • Documentation for qualifying times will be required.

Price money

1st pl. – 4.000 USD
2nd pl.– 3.000 USD
3rd pl. –  1.500 USD
4th pl. –  1000 USD
5th pl. – 500 USD
6th pl. – 350 USD
National championships
1st pl. – 500 EUR
2nd pl.– 250 EUR
3rd pl. –  150 EUR
Race record bonus: 1.000 USD

Prize money is taxed at a rate of 15%.

Doping disclaimer

Any athlete who is subsequently determined to have committed a doping offence at the time of the event or is suspended from competition due to an offence committed prior to the event resulting in his/her performance at the event being invalidated shall be liable to refund any and all sums from the race organisers relating to his/her performance at the event.

Elite athletes will enjoy special amenities and services before, during and after the race. Detailed information will be announced to all elite athletes prior to the race.
