Press Area for Copenhagen Marathon 2026

Accreditation

Throughout the entire race, you must visibly wear your high-visibility press vest from Sparta Atletik & Løb alongside your personal accreditation pass. The vest and your accreditation indicate that you have access to the start and finish areas, and that you are authorised to take photographs or film.

You can collect your accreditation and press vest at Media Check-in, located near the press tent in Fælledparken. Please see the map above (1).

It is also at Media Check-in that you can subsequently gain access to the media area, which includes the press centre, the press and photo pool, and the Mixed Zone.

Please note: The distribution of accreditation and vests is only open from 07:00 to 08:30 on Sunday, 10 May.

Your press vest must be returned to the press tent when you have finished your work for the day.

Press briefing

To gain access to the area, you must attend a mandatory press briefing on Sunday at 08:45 in the press tent.

You must attend the press briefing if you plan to take photographs in the start and finish areas. During the briefing, we will go through the photographers’ working areas, the Mixed Zone, and the press tent. Afterwards, you will be shown the way to the photo and press pools, as well as the Mixed Zone.

Press tent

There is a press tent located close to the start/finish area with easy access to the Mixed Zone. The press tent offers internet access, electricity, water, tea/coffee, light refreshments, and a livestream of the race.

The press tent is the meeting point for the mandatory press briefing at 08:45.

Photo pools

Photo pools reserved exclusively for accredited photographers will be set up at both the start and finish lines. We will review these photo pools during the press briefing at 08:45.

At 09:15, photographers must be in position in the photo pool if they wish to capture images of the start.

Interviews and Mixed Zone

Once the elite runners cross the finish line, they will be guided away from the finish line and into the Mixed Zone, where it will be possible to conduct interviews and take photographs.

Please note: It is NOT possible to conduct interviews at the finish line. This poses a risk to other runners and blocks the camera broadcasting the live feed, which is also used to capture finish line photos of the participants.

Start/Finish

The start and finish area is located on Øster Allé. On Race Day, Fælledparken will be transformed into a large Runner’s Area, where participants and their friends or family can enjoy food and activities after the race. It is also possible to photograph and interview participants in this area.

The course

The course for the Copenhagen Marathon 2026 is packed with entertainment and refreshment zones, taking participants through most of Denmark’s capital: over and under bridges, and through Indre By (the Inner City), Østerbro, Christianshavn, Vesterbro, Nørrebro, and Frederiksberg.

You can view the full course on our interactive map here.

TV and livestreaming

The race will be broadcast live on DR2 from 9:15 AM. You can also follow the Copenhagen Marathon live via the ‘Copenhagen Marathon’ app and on our website.
