You can buy and sell bib numbers for the Copenhagen Marathon – safely and securely. See our guide on how to do it here.

Guide for you:

Do you want to buy or sell a bib for the Copenhagen Marathon 2026?
Then you’ve come to the right place. On our Resale Platform, buyers and sellers can connect and complete transfers in a safe and secure way.

Are you a buyer?

As a buyer, you can sign up for our Waiting Pool. When someone puts their bib up for sale, a random name is drawn from the Waiting Pool and offered the chance to buy the bib. If that person does not complete the purchase within 24 hours, the opportunity moves on to the next person in the Waiting Pool.

At the same time, your name will be removed from the Waiting Pool, as we take it as a sign that you are no longer interested in participating. You can always sign up for the Waiting Pool again.

If you know someone who wants to give or sell their bib directly to you, that is also an option. See steps 1 and 2 in the section for sellers below.

Are you a seller?

Do you have a bib you no longer need? Then you have several options for passing it on.

First, log in to your participant profile. You can do that here.

Then click the button labelled “Transfer Bib.” Please note that this button only appears if you are eligible to sell your bib — meaning you purchased it in the normal way and did not, for example, win it or received it as a gift from you employer.

How it works

When you click the transfer button in your participant profile, you have three options:

1. Give your bib away
You can choose to give your bib to someone you know. All you need is their email address.
Please note that the transfer fee of DKK 135 still applies, and you pay this yourself.

Note: You can withdraw the transfer as long as the recipient has not completed their registration.

2. Sell your bib to someone you’ve made an agreement with
You can sell your bib to someone you know. All you need is their email address. You set the agreed price (which must not be higher than the recommended retail price). The buyer will then receive an email from us with instructions on how to pay and take over the bib.
This option also costs a DKK 135 transfer fee, paid by you.

Note: You can withdraw the transfer as long as the recipient has not completed their registration and taken over the bib.

3. Sell your bib through our Waiting Pool
You can also sell your bib via our Waiting Pool — a list of people interested in buying a Copenhagen Marathon bib.

Here’s how the Waiting Pool works:
First, set your selling price which must not be higher than the recommended retail price.
The bib will then be offered to a random person in the Waiting Pool, who has 24 hours to complete the purchase. If they do not complete the purchase within the 24 hours, we automatically select a new person from the Waiting Pool. This process continues until your bib is sold. This option costs a DKK 135 transfer fee, paid by you.

Note: You can withdraw your bib between buyer rounds, but you must actively do so from your profile.

Important information about withdrawals and pricing
  • If you choose to give away your bib (option 1) or sell it to someone you know (option 2), you can withdraw the transfer via your participant profile as long as the person has not completed their registration.
Once they have registered, the bib belongs to them.

  • If you have listed your bib for sale in the Waiting Pool, you can withdraw it via your profile as long as it has not yet been offered to a buyer.

  • If your bib has been offered to someone in the Waiting Pool, that person has 24 hours to complete the purchase. During that time, you cannot withdraw your bib.
You may still request a withdrawal, and if the person does not complete the purchase within the 24 hours, your bib will be removed from the Waiting Pool and returned to your profile.

  • You cannot sell your bib for more than you originally paid.

  • A transfer fee of DKK 135 applies to all bib transfers. The seller pays this fee, and it is deducted from the selling price before the remaining amount is transferred to the seller.
