Guide for you:

Want to buy or sell a bib number for the Copenhagen Marathon?
Then you’ve come to the right place. On our platform, buyers and sellers can meet and trade in a safe and secure way.

Are you looking for a bib number?

As a buyer you can visit our Resale Platform. If there is a start number for sale you can click on the yellow Buy-button next to the start number, you wish to buy. You will now be transferred to our registration page, where you can complete the purchase and sign up for the race.

If you do not complete the purchase within 30 minutes, the race number will be put up for sale again.

Please note, that if you click on the Buy-button you can’t go back to the Resale Platform before 1) you have purchased the race number or 2) the 30 minutes have passed.

If you know someone who wants to give or sell their bib number to you, you can also choose to do that. See step 1 and 2 below.

Are you selling a bib number?

Do you have a bib number you no longer need? Then you have several options for transferring it.

First, you need to log in to your participant profile. You can do so here.

Once logged in, click on the button that says ‘Transfer Bib Number’. Please note, this button will only appear if you’re eligible to sell your bib number – that is, if you purchased it through the normal registration process and not won the bib number in a competition or likewise.

Please note that when you put your race bib up for sale, your profile with Copenhagen Marathon will be paused. This means you won’t be able to withdraw the bib or change the sale price.

After clicking the transfer button, you’ll have three options. You can:

1. Give your bib away
You can choose to ‘give’ your bib to someone you know. All you need is their email address. Please note, there is still a 135 DKK administration fee, which seller is responsible for paying.

2. Sell to someone you’ve made an agreement with

You can sell to a person you’ve made an agreement with. All you need is their email address. Set the agreed price, click send, and the buyer will receive an email with instructions on how to pay and receive the bib. Please note, there is a 135 DKK administration fee, which the seller is responsible for paying.

3. Sell it on our Resale Platform

You can also sell your race bib on our Resale platform. Here, you set a price and the bib will then be listed for sale on the platform, which is accessible to everyone. When an interested buyer clicks the “Buy” button next to your bib, they have 30 minutes to complete the payment. If they don’t, the bib will automatically be listed for sale on the platform again.

Important. Please note that:
  • When you put your bib number up for resale, your profile with Copenhagen Marathon will be paused. This means you cannot withdraw your bib or change the sale price once it’s listed.
  • You cannot sell your bib for more than you originally paid.
  • Bib numbers listed on the resale platform are sorted by price — starting with the lowest.
  • There is a 135 DKK administration fee, paid by the seller. This fee will be deducted from the sale price before the money is transferred to the seller.
