Guide for you:

Want to buy or sell a bib number for the Copenhagen Marathon?
Then you’ve come to the right place. On our platform, buyers and sellers can meet and trade in a safe and secure way.

Are you looking for a bib number?

As a buyer, you can sign up for our Waiting Pool. When someone puts their bib up for sale, a random name is drawn from the Waiting Pool and offered the opportunity to buy the bib. If the person does not complete the purchase within 36 hours, the opportunity will move on to the next person in the Waiting Pool.

If you know someone who wants to give or sell their bib number to you, you can also choose to do that. See step 1 and 2 below.

Are you selling a bib number?

Do you have a bib number you no longer need? Then you have several options for transferring it.

First, you need to log in to your participant profile. You can do so here.

Once logged in, click on the button that says ‘Transfer Bib Number’. Please note, this button will only appear if you’re eligible to sell your bib number – that is, if you purchased it through the normal registration process and not won the bib number in a competition or likewise.

After clicking the transfer button, you’ll have three options. You can:

  1. Give your bib away
You can choose to ‘give’ your bib to someone you know. All you need is their email address. Please note, there is still a 100 DKK administration fee, which you are responsible for paying.
  2. Sell to someone you’ve made an agreement with
You can sell to a person you’ve made an agreement with. All you need is their email address. Set the agreed price, click send, and the buyer will receive an email with instructions on how to pay and receive the bib. Please note, there is a 100 DKK administration fee, which the seller is responsible for paying.
  3. Sell in our Waiting Pool
You can also sell your bib in our Waiting Pool. Here, you set a price – for example, 850 DKK – and we will randomly select a person from the pool who is waiting to buy a bib. The selected person then has 36 hours to purchase your bib, otherwise, the opportunity will move to the next person in the pool.

Please note:
You can’t sell your bib number for more than you paid for it. Also there is a 100 DKK administration fee, which the seller is responsible for paying. The fee will be deducted from the sale price before the money is transferred to the seller.
