This is a quick guide to prepare yourself for the Copenhagen Marathon.

A complete guide with all necessary entrant information will be available here in due time.

Check your entry confirmation and registration card

Upon registration you will receive an entry confirmation including a QR code. One week before race day you will also receive the QR code in your registration card email. The QR code is to be scanned at race packet pick-up. Get more info

Race packet pick-up

You must collect your race packet including your bib number, race bag, Nike T-shirt, etc. at the Copenhagen Marathon Expo on May 12 – 13. Get more info

The day before

Rest, hydrate, and eat extra carbohydrates. Organize your race day outfit and an extra layer of clothing to keep you warm before and after the race. Mount your race bib, check out the official hydration zones and, if you carry your own hydration or energy supplies, pack those in your race day bag or fluid belt. Dont’ forget money/credit card and public transport ticket.

Getting to the start

Take public transport (Metro or S-train is recommended), walk or bike to the starting area. We recommend you be at the start at least one hour before race time for a stress-free start. Be sure to plan your journey ahead at journeyplanner.dk. Get more information here

Race bag drop-off

Drop off your race bag before you go to your start section. Baggage storage is open from 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM. For storage of suitcases and travel bags, please visit luggagehero.com for safe and easy storage options. Get more here

Race start

Place yourself in the start section according to your expected finish time. Choose an official pace team if you want. Be realistic, so everybody gets a good race start. Family and friends are welcome to cheer you on from the grandstands. Get more info here

Along the course

Along the course, there are lots of hydration stations, toilets and cold showers, etc. for your convenience. Explore the course features here
Enjoy the run, the entertainment, and the cheering!

At the finish line

Welcome at the finish and congratulations on your well-earned medal!

You are offered water and a variety of recovery supplies, and there are showers are available. You can reunite with family and friends outside of the Runners Area.

Celebration photo

Don’t forget to have a free celebration photo taken after you cross the finish line.


Use the shower facilities in the finish area or take a dip in the harbour bath right next to the finish area. Remember to bring your own towel. Drink lots of fluid, and rest your legs for a few weeks. Well done!
