Samsung and Sparta Athletics & Running have entered into a new partnership aimed at enhancing the race experience for all Copenhagen Marathon participants—whether they’re elite athletes or recreational runners.
“We’re excited to collaborate with Sparta Athletics & Running, the organizers behind Copenhagen Marathon. At Samsung, we develop technology that helps people live healthier lives and get more out of their training. This partnership allows us to combine our technological solutions with the amazing running culture Sparta has built over decades,” says Søren Rinnov Østergaard, Country Manager for Samsung Denmark.
A recent survey from Samsung, conducted by Norstat, shows that three out of four (76%) Danes monitor their health data using gadgets—such as step counters or heart rate monitors during workouts.
At a time when data and tracking are an integral part of daily life, Samsung sees a growing interest in using wearables like running watches and smart rings to track health. Technology can help people better understand their bodies and support runners in improving their training and habits.
“Together with Samsung, we’re looking forward to making the Copenhagen Marathon experience even greater for participants. Samsung will be a visible partner with activations both at the expos and with entertainment along the course,” says Jesper Lind Andersson, Commercial Director at Sparta Athletics & Running.
It has already been confirmed that Samsung will host the cheer zone celebration at Nørrebros Runddel during the Copenhagen Marathon on May 11.
