Copenhagen isn’t just one of the best cities to run in – it’s also one of the best cities to cheer in and experience marathon atmosphere like no other.
The Copenhagen Marathon course is extremely spectator-friendly. Thanks to the Metro, it’s incredibly easy to get across the course. That means you can cheer for your runner at multiple spots, then head to the finish area and meet them in the Runners Area after 42.195 kilometers.
In this article, we’ve gathered the most exciting Power Zones and cheer spots, where the party will be in full swing for the runners.
All Power Zones and cheer spots are grouped by neighborhood, with the nearest Metro station and location, so you can easily move on and catch your runner at another point on the route.
ØSTERBRO
LØBEREN Power Zone
Trianglen is one of the best spots to cheer along the route. You’ll see the runners multiple times, including within the first kilometer. It’s also a great place to cheer before heading to the Runners Area to celebrate once your friends cross the finish line. LØBEREN will bring the energy with high vibes and great music all day long.

DJ & Saxophonist
After cheering at Trianglen, head over to Strandboulevarden and keep the energy going. A DJ and saxophonist will be turning up the volume – and nothing gets the party started like a sax solo with a beat.

Taiko Drums
Drums and rhythms you can feel in your bones. Taiko Drums is a group of 8 insanely talented performers, and it’s impossible not to get swept up in their wild energy and powerful beats.

CITY CENTER (INDRE BY)
JOE & THE JUICE Power Zone
Kongens Nytorv is a key spot on the course. Here, JOE & THE JUICE will be serving up next-level energy and good vibes as runners approach the 33 km mark. It’s the perfect place to cheer before the runners head into the final stretch toward an epic finish.

Royal Danish Military Academy
Right by Nyboder, the Royal Danish Military Academy will be stationed with a tent where you can enjoy the atmosphere, grab a cold non-alcoholic beer or water, and cheer on the thousands of runners closing in on the finish line.

Transport: Get around easily and cheap on race day
The easiest way to get around Copenhagen is by public transportation – especially the metro.
DOT (Your Public Transportation) has created a special event ticket for the Copenhagen Marathon. With the ticket, you can save money and use public transportation unlimited for 12 hours.
How to get your ticket:
The event ticket can only be purchased in the DOT app. The app is free and can be downloaded by scanning the QR code on the left or by clicking the link below.
Do you already have the app? Then simply scan the code or tap the button. This will take you directly to the ticket page in the app.
The event ticket is available to everyone and comes in two sizes:
Small event ticket: Covers Copenhagen city center including Copenhagen Airport (zones 1-4).
Large event ticket: Covers the entire metropolitan area including Copenhagen city center (zone 1-99).
NØRREBRO
NBRO Power Zone
Dronning Louises Bro – one of the most legendary Power Zones at Copenhagen Marathon. Join NBRO in turning the bridge into a roaring celebration of music, energy, and pure runner magic, as they crank up the vibes to 11.

High5 Power Zone
As the official energy sponsor of Copenhagen Marathon, High5 delivers a serious energy boost – whether you’re running or cheering. Either way, you’re going to need it!

Samsung Power Zone
Help fuel the runners with a wave of energy from the Samsung Power Zone. There’ll be an amazing atmosphere with a DJ, soap bubbles, Samsung’s mascot Gnusmas, and fun cheering gear – guaranteeing a festive day for everyone!

FREDERIKSBERG
Halfway There
The runners have completed the first 21.0975 kilometers – and that calls for a proper celebration! Swing by and cheer in this lively Power Zone featuring a live speaker and upbeat music. We’ll be handing out cheering hands and clapper sticks to blast runners into the second half with fresh energy in their legs.

United Choir
The United Choir is a fantastic ensemble of 70 voices that manages to give both runners and spectators goosebumps – even on a warm May day.

VESTERBRO
Nike Power Zone
Nike sets the standard for what a true Power Zone should be. Drop by and feel the pumping beats and energy from the cheerleaders. You can also pick up cheer cards to personalize with the names of your runners – and give them that extra push.

Red Bull Power Zone
Sometimes, you need wings – and this is the place to get them. Whether you’re running or cheering, you’ll feel a boost of renewed energy. Red Bull hands out free Red Bulls, while their DJ turns up the volume from their spectacular DJ car to throw one of the wildest parties on the route.

Erdinger Power Zone
No cheer is complete without a little refreshment. Erdinger will be ready with cold (non-alcoholic) drinks at one of the most popular spots on Vesterbro, right by Enghave Plads.
