New logo, new colors, new identity. Copenhagen Marathon is now dressed in yellow, and there’s a very good reason for it.
Since the starting gun for the first Copenhagen Marathon sounded in 1980, more than 200,000 runners have crossed the finish line and taken home a once-in-a-lifetime experience – no matter where in the world they came from.
Now the time has come to raise our ambitions and take a step forward in the starting line. We want even more people to discover Copenhagen Marathon as one of the world’s best running experiences in one of the world’s best running cities.
We are doing this with a new, recognizable logo and fresh colors that strengthen our presence in the minds of runners near and far. Our goal is to become the leading international marathon in the Nordics, and from now on, you will encounter the new identity wherever Copenhagen Marathon is present – both digitally and in the physical world.
A logo in motion
The new logo is inspired by running legs. It signals movement and progress toward a fantastic goal – alone, yet together. Copenhagen Marathon brings people from all over the world together and gives them something to share from the very moment they register.
From that day on, every step you take brings you closer to Copenhagen Marathon. And even when training in rain, darkness, or wind, and when you can’t see anyone else around you, you are never alone. At the same time, thousands of other runners around the world are doing exactly the same to prepare for the big day when we all meet and run through the streets of Copenhagen.
They say the best brands should be recognizable even if they fall on the floor and break into pieces. We believe Copenhagen Marathon’s new identity can do just that. At the same time, we intend to take great care of it so we can continue to grow and create the best conditions for even more runners to have a once-in-a-lifetime experience in the streets of Copenhagen – for many years to come.
