Update: The race is sold out
Did you think that marathons are only for adults? Well, think again. At the CPH Mini Marathon on Saturday, May 4th, the entire family can participate – both young and old.

CPH Mini Marathon is a small version of the adult marathon that takes place on Sunday. The participants start from the same starting line and under the same arch as the adult runners do at the Copenhagen Marathon.

And when you cross the finish line, you’ll be presented with a awesome mini version of the medal that participants in the Copenhagen Marathon also receive.

The Race

For the CPH Mini Marathon, you can choose between two distances, namely 1 or 2 kilometers. Both routes lead into Fælledparken, where you run on wide gravel paths without traffic.

On each distance, you can choose to run alone or with an adult. Therefore, there are two starts for each distance, namely a children’s race and a family race.

The children’s race is for slightly older children (6-15 years) who want to complete the distance on their own, while the family race is for children accompanied by adults – regardless of age.

Note: It is necessary for everyone participating to be registered with a race number – both children and adults.

What’s included

  • Bib number
  • Race timing
  • Digital diploma
  • An awesome medal
  • Refreshments in the start and finish area
  • Fun entertainment and games for the children during the event
Program

We meet at the start line 10 minutes before each start, where we get ready and do a little warm up with our mascot Sprinter. If you are registered for one of the family races, adults are welcome to join if they are signed up for the race.

The children’s races, on the other hand, are for children, but the adults are welcome to cheer along the route and at the finish line.

Who are HipSomHap?
HipSomHap consists of Anna FriedEgg and Johnny Don’tCare, who always deliver the sweatiest show packed with cool rhymes, sick beats, and loads of hip-hop attitude at a child-friendly level. The music is especially geared towards children aged 6-12, but the youngest ones can also join in, so come and sing along to all their hits in the Runners Area.

Explore the course
