22. April 2024

Have a blast with your family when the Copenhagen Marathon and Sparta Athletics & Running invite you to a an amazing day before the full marathon with a lot of fun and entertainment.

Update: The race is sold out

Running a marathon is not just for adults. The Copenhagen Marathon is also designed to give those with short legs and small shoe sizes a great experience.

The race
On Saturday, May 4 – the day before 15,000 marathon runners from all over the world are sent out into the streets of Copenhagen on Sunday – the kids get a head start on the Copenhagen Marathon.

You can choose between two routes of one or two kilometers, which the kids can either run alone or with an adult. Both routes go through Fælledparken. They are marked, closed to traffic and equipped with Copenhagen Marathon helpers all the way.

The start and finish are from the same beautiful portal that the adult runners use for Copenhagen Marathon. And when the kids cross the finish line, they get a nice medal around their necks – just like the big marathon runners.

Entertainment at the Mini Marathon

Before the start of each Mini Marathon race, there is a fun warm-up for kids and adults with our enthusiastic Speaker and our mascot, Sprinter. In addition, throughout the afternoon you can look forward to a lot of fun entertainment on the big stage in the Runners Area, located in Fælledparken right next to the start portal.

Here you can experience the popular HipSomHap, who will perform with lots of singing, music and fun. HipSomHap consists of Anna Spejlæg and Johnny Ligeglad, who always deliver the sweatiest show packed with cool rhymes, sick beats and lots of hip-hop attitude for kids. The music is especially aimed at children aged 6-12, but the younger ones can join in too, so come and sing along to all their hits in the Runners Area.

Arla drops by

Arla will also come by and they bring a lot of fun games with them! Beat your parents in the old classic, The Viking Game (Vikingespillet), the wheel of fortune, cornholes and a lot more. And we know that our little heroes need refreshment, and Arla will make sure there is enough for everyone.
