Copenhagen Marathon 2026

No one runs alone. There’s always someone running together with you, cheering along the course or waiting at the finish line.

Welcome to Copenhagen Marathon 2026. The course is flat and takes you through the inner city, Østerbro, Christianshavn, Vesterbro, Nørrebro and Frederiksberg.

You run in the heart of Copenhagen the entire way and have a unique possibility to experience the city in your running shoes.

We continuously update the map with more information and reserve the right to make changes that may occur.

Refreshment zones

Along the course, there are 10 refreshment zones where you can replenish your energy with water and HIGH5 Energy drinks. Some zones also offer fruit or energy gels.

In the table further down the page, you can see exactly what is available at each refreshment zone.

HIGH5 Energy

Our sponsor, High5, is providing the energy in the refreshment zones. Water and High5 energy drinks are available in all aid stations, and there are free High5 gels (aqua) at two zones (16 and 27.9 kilometers).

Faxe Kondi Pro and Booster

Running a marathon requires plenty of fluids and energy. That’s why our friends at Royal Unibrew have created two power zones along the route.

In the first zone, which you’ll reach after 21.1 kilometers, you can quench your thirst with Faxe Kondi PRO. And at 35.4 kilometers, you can look forward to refueling with Faxe Kondi Booster, mixed with water.

Medics

Do you need help? Don’t hesitate to contact our volunteers or our medic teams. The medic teams can be found at the start and finish line and at all the refreshment zones along the course.

Please note that you can write any health problems on the back of your race bib which we recommend if it has medical relevance.
