If you’re a cheerleader, we recommend that you lubricate your voice and get ready to be part of an amazing party. Copenhagen is transformed when the marathon atmosphere starts to sizzle in the city. Not sure where to go? We’ve created an overview to give you some inspiration on where to go and how to get there and back.

Nike Power Zone

Just off Vesterbros Torv on Vesterbrogade you’ll find a fantastic Power Zone with stands, cheer cards and tons of entertainment. This Power Zone unfolds in an explosion of music and excitement when Nike provides the entertainment.

Nearest Metro Station: Copenhagen Central Station or Enghave Plads.

PureGym Power Zone at Trianglen

This Power Zone is perfect for the participants and for you to cheer them on. Trianglen is Østerbro’s little oasis, and here you’ll be greeted by wild energy, loud music and a big stage where the DJ and announcer create a wild atmosphere. PureGym also hands out hot dogs and water to thirsty cheerleaders.

Red Bull Power Zone at Nørrebros Runddel

At Nørrebros Runddel, Red Bull’s DJ car, Karen, will make sure your running energy reaches new heights. Get carried away by the music and feel how every step becomes part of the rhythm that drives you forward. If you’ve had a long day of cheering, you’ll get some extra energy when the Red Bulls hand out cold drinks to the cheerleaders.

United Kor at Axel Torv

A marathon really starts when we’re over halfway. United Kor is perfectly placed between 27 and 28 kilometers, where 100 singers live an acoustic energy booster. Their voices create such a unique atmosphere that you forget the fatigue for a while. Whether you’re cheering or running.

Nearest Metro St.: Rådhuspladsen and Copenhagen Central Station.

NBRO Power Zone at Dronning Louises Bro

When you approach the infamous Dronning Louises Bro, there’s no doubt about it. The wild energy, music and enthusiasm from all the participants makes every step a party. It’s one of the wildest places throughout the 42.195 kilometers.

Nearest Metro Station: Nørreport St.

MRC Power Zone on Stefansgade

At Stefansgade, MRC’s DJ gives it full throttle, while Anders Rørbæk makes sure to involve the spectators in a cool Power Zone. Mikkeller Running Club will provide beer for the spectators, so you can quench your thirst while you cheer.

Army Officer School

Here you’ll find the Cadet Basement. This is the Officer School’s bar that the Army Officer School will set up on the day, so all the cheerleaders can buy a cold draft beer or a water while cheering on all the participants running.

Transport: Get around easily and cheap on race day

The easiest way to get to and from the starting area is by public transportation – especially the metro.

DOT (Your Public Transportation) has created a special event ticket for Copenhagen Marathon. With the ticket, you can save money and use public transportation unlimited for 12 hours. The ticket is available to everyone and comes in two sizes.

Small event ticket:
Covers Copenhagen city center including Copenhagen Airport (zones 1-4).

Large event ticket:
Covers the entire metropolitan area including Copenhagen city center (zone 1-99).

The event ticket must be purchased in the DOT app. The app is free and can be downloaded by scanning the QR code on the left or by clicking the button below.
