COPENHAGEN MARATHON 2021 IS CANCELLED
Delayed corona guidelines means no Copenhagen Marathon this year
It is with regret that we must inform our runners that Copenhagen Marathon 2021 has been cancelled.
Until the very last possible moment we were hoping that it would be possible to run together this year in modified race set-up. For weeks we have been waiting for the government advisory board to present their guidelines for large events. Guidelines that were vital in order to obtain the final approvals of the event by the Danish authorities.
We came so close, but unfortunately now we have run out of time and cannot wait any longer for the political processing and the final approvals, which leaves us no other choice than to cancel this year’s Copenhagen Marathon.
We would like to thank you for your continued support and patience – it means the world to us, and it truly pains us that it didn’t turn out as we had hoped.
All entrants will be offered to transfer their entry to next year’s Copenhagen Marathon, which is scheduled to be held on May 15, 2022, or get a refund.
