Race Planner

Ready, set, go!

There’s a lot to think about in the days leading up to a marathon – and not least on Race Day itself. That’s why we’ve put together a little to-do list to help you take care of the most important details before the race starts.

Pre race.

  • Download the Copenhagen Marathon app
  • Is your expected finish time correct? Otherwise you can change it in your entry profile
  • Check that you have received your registration card on email about 1 week before race day
  • Pick up your start packet at the Copenhagen Marathon Expo
  • Think about how you will get to the race. We recommend using the Metro.
  • Get your energy intake on race day sorted
  • Lay out your running clothes and gear
  • Pin your bib to your race shirt. Your bib number must be clearly visible on your stomach or chest. Do not bend the bib or you will damage the timing chip.

Race day.

  • Arrive at the Runners Area at least 1 hour before race start
  • Check in your race bag
  • Prepare yourself and warm up
  • Find your start group and pace team well in time
  • The Copenhagen Marathon begins at 9.30 AM
  • Run the 42.195 km – go finish it!

After the finish line.

  • You did it! Receive your well earned finisher medal
  • Aqua d’Or will be ready with plenty of refreshing water when you cross the finish line.
  • Get something to eat and drink in the finish area
  • Meet your friends and family in the Runners’ Area
  • Have your free celebration photo taken
  • Ring the PR bell if you have set a new personal record
